New Temporary Flood Barrier for Charvil

The Environment Agency has announced that it has plans for a new temporary flood barrier for Charvil. This could be deployed in the Charvil Meadow Road/ Edward Road/ Old Acres Lane area to reduce the impact of flooding to local houses from the Old River/ River Loddon.

The enclosed document shows you the area to be covers what a temporary flood barrier looks like.  A barrier would only be put up in advance of forecast flooding, and is completely removed again when the risk of flooding subsides.
