One New Person to be co-opted to Council but two more needed

After our  last invitation for residents to come forward to join the Parish Council, I am pleased to say that we have one new recruit.

Rob Jones, who is heading up the Neighbourhood Plan group, is due to be officially co-opted at the next Full Council meeting.

That still leaves two vacancies on the Council, and we would very much like to fill them by our Annual Parish Meeting in May.

If you would like to get more involved with the current Parish projects, or have ideas of your own, please think about coming to join us.

Current projects include:

• Tree planting
• The Community Orchard
• Conservation
• The redevelopment of the Pavilion at East Park Farm, including renegotiating the lease
• Neighbourhood Plan
• Speedwatch

If you can commit to a couple of Monday evenings per month, and can spare the time to read all the background papers so as to join in all the discussions fully, we would love to hear from you.

Closing date for expressing an interest is Monday 14th March, and  you would need to attend the Full Council Meeting on 21st March.
