Wokingham Borough Council Election of Parish Councillors

Number of Councillors to be elected: Ten

1. Nomination papers may be obtained from the Returning Officer at the Civic Offices, Shute End,
Wokingham, Berkshire, RG40 1WH.They can also be downloaded from
https://www.wokingham.gov.uk/council-and-meetings/elections-and-voting/current
elections/.
2. Completed nomination papers must be hand delivered to the Returning Officer, or his
appointed Electoral Services Staff at Civic Offices, Shute End, Wokingham, RG40 1WH.
They will only be accepted between 10am and 4pm Monday to Friday (excluding bank
holidays) on any day after the date of this notice, but no later than 4 pm on Friday, 5th April
2024.
3. If any election is contested the poll will take place on Thursday, 2nd May 2024.
4. Applications to register to vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at the Civic
Offices, Shute End, Wokingham, RG40 1WH by 12 midnight on Tuesday, 16th April 2024.
Applications can be made online: https://www.gov.uk/register-to-vote.
5. New applications for postal votes or amendments or cancellations of existing postal and proxy
votes must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at the Civic Offices, Shute End,
Wokingham, RG40 1WH by 5 pm on Wednesday, 17th April 2024. Applications can be made
online: https://www.gov.uk/apply-postal-vote
6. Applications for a Voter Authority Certificate or an Anonymous Elector’s Document valid for this
election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5 pm on Wednesday, 24th April

at the Civic Offices, Shute End, Wokingham, RG40 1WH by 5 pm on Wednesday, 24th April

8. Applications to vote by emergency proxy at this election must reach the Electoral Registration
Officer at the Civic Offices, Shute End, Wokingham, RG40 1WH by 5 pm on Thursday, 2nd
May 2024.
