🅿️East Park Farm Sinkhole Update 🅿️
Charvil Parish Council have continued to work with our partners at Wokingham Borough Council, and the Charvil Piggott Primary School, as we investigate the sinkhole which appeared in the East Park Farm car park overnight from 19th to 20th November.
Over the course of the last week, contractors have investigated the sinkhole itself, and a radar survey of the whole car park area has been undertaken.
We are awaiting the report from this survey, to ensure that the car park is safe before considering partially reopening it to vehicles. Once we have the radar results, we will be able to work with our partners to have the sinkhole filled and the car park surface repaired.
The car park remains open to foot traffic, with the area around the sinkhole cordoned off. We would ask users of our car park to remain vigilant around the safety barriers, and to keep pets under close control.
We appreciate that the closure of the car park, which is used by both visitors to our sports pitches & Pavilion, and the Charvil Piggott Primary School, is inconvenient, and would like to thank you for your patience while we work to get this resolved as quickly and safely as possible.
