Wokingham Borough Council have received the initial results from the radar survey, and have informed us that there are some additional areas of the car park that require further investigation.

As a precaution, to ensure the safety of pedestrians using the car park area, these areas have also been cordoned off while we await them to complete the exploratory work.

The car park remains closed to vehicles until further notice.

We apologise for the inconvenience this continues to cause to users of the sports facilities, and to parents of children at the neighbouring Charvil Piggott Primary School who utilise the car park at school start and end times.

We remain in contact with both our users, and the primary school, with alternative parking arrangements in place, as we await assurance that the area has been fully investigated to identify the extent of the issue.

We would like to thank you for your patience while the exploratory work continues and plans are put in place for repair. We will continue to update our residents as further information is made available to us.

We would ask that consideration is given to the safety of both vehicle and pedestrian traffic on Park Lane, and ensure that vehicles are not parked in a manner that could jeopardise the safety of those using the pavements or crossing the road, particularly during school hours.
