If anyone is interested in standing for Charvil Parish Council, then now is your chance, as the current four year term is coming to an end, with a possible election in May.
Charvil Parish Council has ten councillors, and it is their turn to put themselves forward for re-election, and an opportunity for other residents to put themselves forward if they feel they would like to influence what goes on in their village. The parish council is non-political, and while it has limited powers, there is more opportunity now than ever before to influence the development of facilities within the village. It is very rare that more candidates put themselves forward than posts available, so many of you probably don’t even realise there can be parish council elections, but if this does happen, there will be an election on 5th May, alongside the election for the Borough Councillor.
If you would like to know more, there is an information evening on Thursday 17 March, 6.30 p.m. David Hicks Room, Civic Offices, Shute End
It will last about 30-45 minutes. Please could you let the Parish Clerk know at firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to attend the Information Evening on 17 March, or if you would like any further information.
